Pretty Pretty Picture

Writing to you from backstage - making the most of the wireless! You have to admit - I've been quite dedicated to you and writing often as promised. I don't want to forget a single moment of this adventure - this tour has been the best yet for me so far.
This afternoon in Munich, during our autograph signing - the beautiful NaNa from Vienna showed up who did the watercolor of me above as a gift. It was extremely touching to receive the painting and the general outpouring of love from you guys. I hope you know how much it truly means to me - how I never forget your faces and your stories...my beautiful darlings from all over the world.
Thank you for always making me feel special and welcome no matter where I am - I am home with you.
Just wanted to send my love back to you tonight....
VKA forever.
Love,
Veronica

Carsten Appreciation Week

The last two days I haven't had a stitch of internet - and I've missed you. We're on the tourbus right now and we're pirating some wireless so I figured I'd say hello. Above is a picture of Carsten (our bodyguard/merch King) and me in disguise from last tour after we were all out all night long in Hamburg.
We travel with a crew who truly end up being our road family. Carsten has been a part of the tour since the very beginning. Because many of you who are reading this come to see our shows, I just wanted to introduce to you in little segments the people behind the scenes who really make this tour awesome. Carsten is our bodyguard and also is the King of Merch - you can find him hustling behind the merch table every night. He's the sweetest guy on the face of the planet (if you're on his good side that is...) and he's quick with the merch, good to us and good to the fans.
This week is official Carsten Appreciation Week - he has stood by us - protected us - and made us smile through all of these tours. If you see Carsten behind the merch table tonight - show him some love! He deserves it.

Good Morning!

Here's a picture that Kelly took of me before the book reading show in Amsterdam. I was running to the dressing room through the main area and she asked to take my picture with her little bird that is traveling the world. So of course I did and of course, the bird had to get a kiss!
I love this picture because you can see all the beautiful fans in the mirror behind me. And the fans are indeed very gorgeous, very dedicated and very sweet. I am really looking forward to our next dates to see all of you again.
The tour bus will be picking us up at the hotel momentarily to take us to rehearsals - Aprella and I are going to be working on a new act together and I'm very excited about that. Also, there will be more new things that we are working on all together. You know how we love to surprise you and tease you - so that's all I'm going to say for now.
I will say - that I finally passed out last night as birds were singing for the sun to rise and I woke up this morning with fluffy flakes of snow drifting down through the sky. I walked over to the window and pressed my forehead against the glass and a big very furry red German squirrel (I have never seen one before) - jumped out and was running around right in front of me. I really enjoy seeing new things all over the world, it makes me feel like I did when I was little and everything was brand new.
Okay, well, tour bus is downstairs and Captain Maggot is snuggled next to me and must be woken up! I will write more when I can. Off to work some magic! Have beautiful adventures today, my Loves....

What Home Looks Like.
This morning (okay, so technically it was afternoon) - I got this picture of Burke and Niney (Miette) in my inbox....

And the message simply read...."I wonder if we wake up at the same time, you being six hours later, but living like a rock star."
It made me laugh, well because we ARE waking up at the same time now across the world from each other.
We are now in Germany and it is almost 2am, while it is 8pm in NYC. And no matter where you are in the world, dear darling readers...I send you a kiss from me and sweet good night wishes! I hope to see you soon.
Love,
V

Opening Night in Amsterdam
My solo burlesque fan dance during the EA show - opening night, March 20th in Amsterdam....
The video was shot by VKA Private Tease-a-Lot Diotriese, who was in fact, the first picked for the Rat Game on this tour! And yes, there is video of that, too, which you can view on the VKA site. Poison kisses all around....
Amsterdam has been absolutely enchanting. There is no other way to describe it here. Last night, Captain Maggot and I wandered all over the city, along the canals and the winding cobblestone streets. At times, we were the only ones in sight and the city seemed like it was ours. The stars were out, the old-fashioned street lamps were reflected in ripples of water in the canals and adventures were afoot.
The people here are quite sweet, there is a lot of culture and art and people riding around on their bikes everywhere. It's been a purrrrr-fect place to spend a couple of days with EA and my Crumpet sisters. It was my first time in this city and I will never forget what a wonderful experience it was! Thank you all, darling Muffins, for coming out in droves, for waiting outside the venue for hours and making us feel so very welcome. Look out, Munich...we're headed your way tomorrow.....
The plague is spreading.

Veronica's Kissing Army!

VKA Commander Synthetice and I - doing what we do best...poison kissing!
I have been swamped lately, as world domination does take quite a bit of one's time, oddly enough. I realized that I have not announced in my journal something that I am so insanely proud of....
So here it is...without further ado...the
Official VKA website!
The VKA stands for Veronica's Kissing Army - and that lucky Veronica in the equation would be me...and well, I've got an army of the finest deadly kissers in the world behind me! VKA soldiers are fiercely dedicated and what started as a simple thread on Emilie Autumn's forum has turned into a REVOLUTION!
VKA soldiers do NOT take things lightly. They do not mess around.
Synthetice, a VKA commander from Lithuania built the site and works closely with my hot commanders from all over the world to really create a presence to be reckoned with and an unbeatable army. She recently organized a chat, has the cutest avatars and banners she designed, pictures, info, and everything else. And when you click on the Army link - you will see the names of the girls that I am in love with. So click it - I dare you!
I am absolutely honored by the outpouring of love from the fierce VKA soldiers...I will be seeing you very soon and there will be lovely poisoned kisses for all of you!
*make out pile!*
All my love,
Your VeVa

What are you doing Tuesday night?

As for me, I am flying back to my beloved NYC...landing in JFK hopefully sometime around 7pm-ish and then I am going to go straight from the airport to see this brilliant burlesque show that my dear partner-in-crime, none other than the very dapper, the very handsome.... Mr. Burke Heffner will be hosting for Hotsy Totsy Burlesque!
So I invite you to come watch this gorgeousness with me....I will be there in the audience screaming my heart out and lovin' every second of my favorite city in the world before morning comes and I board a plane to Amsterdam and a wonderful two month tour....
Come out and play!

The Ultra Glamourous Life
of Veronica Varlow....
Behold! My last Wisdom Tooth! Death-defying! Gorgeous! Able to read minds and laser beam down enemies in a single glance!

Yes. This wisdom tooth decided it was too sexy for my body and wanted to jump ship today.
No European tour for this little one!
I knew it had to come out, but was waiting til the last possible minute. I was on the way to choreograph a hot vaudeville burlesque number for the tour this morning when I was almost doubled over in pain from this hot piece of tooth. It's feisty, that's for sure. Not to mention a bit demanding. It wanted out and it wanted out - NOW. Luckily, I was right next to a dentist who is only open one Saturday a month who took pity on me and fit me into the crazy schedule.
He even let me keep the tooth - which isn't the norm. They are supposed to be incinerated, but I have this weird thing about parts of my skeleton going up in flames, so I've saved all of my wisdom teeth.
As I write now, I am lying down comfortably in Emilie's big Victorian bed, with the rats, Sir Edward and Basil running about and making my puffed up face smile. Em and my Crumpet sisters have been taking such good care of me - so I will be nursed back to health in no time.
I am looking forward to see what the tooth fairy will bring me - after all, it is my last tooth that has to come out - so I do hope it's something quite wonderful!
Please excuse me while I go to make out with more pain pills. *Ouch!*
Nightnight.
